9 Months Old
She's so quick at crawling now, she just whizzes past! I am very grateful we've got that baby gate or she's be in the oven half the time!
She is trying so hard to stand up by herself, she can pull herself up on the sofa, but is now trying to push herself up from the floor! She extends her arms and half stands, it looks like she's doing yoga! I am quite expecting to tell you next month she's walking.
BG has learnt to wave, its so damn cute! She waves to two hands and you have to wave back, then she claps. She also waves at the TV when music is being played so I think she'll start dancing soon! We start Musical Minis soon I thinks she's going to love it!
She has also started to share her food with me, she will suck her rice cake or bit of toast then when she has finished she will try to put it in my mouth! Mmmm soggy toast my favourite!
BG has learnt how to make a lot of noise with he toys, she has worked out if you bang them together they are loud and much more fun.
BG now knows that when you press the buttons on the remote control something happens to the TV! We have given her one of her own without batteries but she knows it doesn't do anything and wants the real one, she screams and has a tantrum if we take it away from her. I have to keep remembering to hide it!
The best thing she has started doing still has to be when she crawls over to me for a cuddle it makes my heart flip!
Now this month hasn't all be great, she is teething and its a nightmare. She's having a really bad time with them, and its really affecting her sleep. This morning she was up at 4.30, the night before she slept from 7.30 till 11.30 then didn't go back to sleep until 4.30 and woke up at 6. I spent most of yesterday in a daze.
We've tried everything, teething gel, teething powders, bickie pegs, calpol its just not helping, I really hope they pop soon and the pain eases up.
I'm having a baby free day today, BG is off with Nana which is great for me as she was in a right grump this morning! What have I done with my time? Well I've done the housework, three loads of washing and coloured my hair. Oh the glamour!
Its been nice to be able to do things without trying to keep a baby occupied, but I do quite miss her now!!
Right off to make the most of my last hour of freedom!

8 Months Old
She is now 8 months old and what a difference a month makes! BG can now sit up quite straight on her own and play with her toys, her favourite being her stacking blocks!
Just after I posted her 7Th month update she started crawling backwards, well she can now crawl forwards and is getting pretty good at it, she can go about 5 paces before she flops on her belly, rolls around then crawls again!!
We are now in the process of removing everything that she can grab, pull or drag. Her favorite place in under the coffee table, I have no idea why!
She's babbling more and more, and has started to sing! She actually goes la la la its so funny! She will also clap along with me which it fab, so we sing and clap!
BG's new trick is to wriggle and roll while I change her nappy oh what fun we have (she says in a sarcastic tone!), BG thinks its hilarious!
We went had her weighed today she is now 22lbs 5ozs!! and sitting quite nicely on the 98Th centile. I spoke to the health visitor about her lack of milk but she was happy with what I was doing so I feel much better about it!
I wonder what the next month will bring!

7 Months Old!
She can now roll with great accuracy to get what she wants.
She can sit up on her own for a short time, and if you give her something to play with will slump forward and play quite happily (that is until she pushes the toys too far away and screams!!)
She can hold a toy in each hand and pass toys from one hand to the other
She babbles away for ages, she can say ba, brr, ma, mum!!! and da (which she says repeatedly to my disgust!! should be mum, mum, mum, mum!)
But my favourite thing she has learnt to do, which she did last night for the first time is give kisses!!! She was smacking her lips so I kissed them, she laughed then leaned in for more kisses from me and OH!! So so so cute!! We've been having kisses all morning!
Can't wait for her next new!!

My Baby Free Day
This started with a nice lay in, when I got up BFB was fed, the housework was nearly done. OH then made me breakfast after which I had a bath. I then got to straighten my hair and put on some makeup bliss!! I looked like myself pre baby (apart from the mummy tummy)
Then it was time to leave the house (wasn't as easy as I thought, heart strings pulling). I walked in town which takes about 10 Min's and had a stroll around the shops looking at things for BFB!! I then went and joined the library were I proceeded to take out four books, all for BFB (can you see a pattern here) I lasted about an hour before ringing home to make sure everything was OK.
I went to my favourite cafe for lunch, its really cozy like an old fashioned tea room. I had a jacket potato, two lattes and a slice of homemade Victoria sponge (yum) I read a non-baby magazine and then I was bored. I finished off some jobs in town then went home (walking very quickly)
When I got home BFB gave me the biggest smile and giggle. Even though it was nice to have some me time It was even better to get back to my baby!!!

Yay for the baby bouncer!!
OK so my last blog was last Wednesday, well since then I've been a busy busy lady, there have been lunches, coffee mornings and a Ann Summers party!!! I'll go through it day by day!
Thursday
Pretty bog standard day, got up fed baby, fed mummy while baby sleeps, housework, fed baby etc etc Decided to organise our bedroom not because I was bored but it really needed doing. I didn't realise how much makeup and beauty stuff I had, its quite scary to think how much I have spent over the years, I have makeup that is still in the packaging that I don't remember buying!! Hello Ebay, that's were its going! BFB decided that she didn't want to lie on the floor to play she wanted to be upright so I dug out her bouncy chair that was bought when she was born that previously she didn't like, now she loves it (she's asleep in it as I type) this is a great development it meant after I had finished in the bedroom( which is a two day job will finish another day) could have a bath without waiting for OH to get home, she was happy in her chair laughing at me in the bath. Yay for the baby bouncer!!! BFB found my tummy rather funny and every time see saw it in an unclothed state she laughed at me, so I reminded her the reason it was in that state was because of her, I swear it made her laugh harder!!
Friday
Was a bad day for my figure!!
First I met with my friend that I met in hospital, our girls were born within hours of each other and we both had a similar birth experience (3 days of being induced then a C-section) and our girls were a tag team at night, one would start screaming then the other would start it was all fun. So after two very large lattes and biscuits I popped into our local supermarket where OH happens to work, who I bumped into on his way to the pub for lunch!!! So of course he took me and BFB with him. So after a pub lunch I waddled home, we then proceeded to have sausage egg and chips for dinner!! Such a pig (but all very nice)
Saturday
Another pub lunch! (next week all I'm eating is lettuce) My dad came to visit for the day so he took us to lunch. He had bought BFB some new clothes, including a rugby kit and a new book which she loves as it is soft with tags on it. We watch the rugby in the afternoon which I wish we hadn't not a good game for England. Then I had my first baby and OH free night day out!! I went to an Ann Summers party at my best friends. Has a fantastic time, lots of laughs, a little bit of alcohol. We convinced my best friend to model the outfits, mainly as she was the only one to fit in them, however we then proceeded to take pictures and put them on facebook. Someone had a Blackberry so could post them straight away (OK it was me) Very good night, didn't panic too much about being away from my baby
Sunday
Relax!!!! very lazy day
I am now waiting for my sister to arrive, she's coming to visit for the day. We're going out for lunch (Lettuce eating starts tomorrow). Its amazing since BFB was born I have never seen my family so much!! Not that I'm complaining Its lovely to see them. Right must go BFB has woken up and there is housework to be done before my sister arrives.

Pancake Day Has Been Postponed!
BFB decided last night she wanted her bottle early by screaming so loud I thought my ear drums would burst which is so unlike her, then she proceeded to fall asleep half way through her fed the little minx. Finally got her settled in bed at 8.30ish which is late for her. OH let her have a little lay in the day before as well, which seems like a good idea but not when you don't get to sit down till 9 at night and especially when he is at work and I'm on my own. Never mind we are back into our nice little routine today.
A lovely surprise dropped through the letter box this morning!! My dad has sent me the new Live album (Probably haven't heard of them US band very big is Europe) its them playing live in Amsterdam and has nearly all my favourite tracks so a very happy bunny today. I am listening to it as a type, BFB seems to like it too she smiled and giggled when it came on...or she could have been laughing at me dancing around the room! She loves it when I dance around to Girls Aloud and of course I only listen to them for her!
My body aches so much its unbeliveable, I think i need to go to the doctors. I'm having trouble sleeping at its driving me mad, BFB sleeps through the night why can't I??? I have nothing on my mind, nothing is worrying me I just can't sleep, which means I feel so tired through the day, my body hurts and I don't feel like doing anything. Underactive thyroids run in my family so I'm going to ask the doctor to test for it.
Ok off to attempt some housework

A Proper Introduction !
As I have already told you my name is Carol and my daughter (BFB) is 12 weeks old. She is my one and only child and after the pregnancy and birth from hell (which is a story for another day) that is the way its going to stay!
Me and my other half (OH) have been together for just over two years, we got engaged last February and I fell pregnant in March and my baby girl was born in November 2008 on her due date, which was a good thing because I hate to be kept waiting. I do however love being a mummy, I keep looking at her amazed that she came from me!!
When we first brought her home I did think I would never cope! She wouldn't breastfeed (If one more person tells me breastfeeding is easy and everyone can do I will hit them) She didn't feed properly for the first three days and lost 10% of her body so the paediatrician put her on a feeding schedule and wouldn't let us take her home, it was at the point we decided to formula feed her which worked wonders and we got to take her home the next day. The chunky monkey at her last weigh in was 14lbs 13.5 Oz's!!
It was really hard work the first few weeks, she feed every three hours and I was recovering from a c-section all I can say is that I have the best partner ever who is so supportive and defiantly does his fair share.
So here we are 12 weeks on, BFB has been sleeping through the night for the last 4 weeks and is in a routine during day. The best bit is she has found the routine her self I haven't had to do much, I'm a very lucky mummy.
At them moment she has fallen asleep under her Jungle gym for the third time today! Must go she will be awake soon for her next feed .
