I was searching around for a song for this week and saw this and though it was perfect for the way I'm feeling about most things at the moment including myself.
I found my self dancing around to this even though I'd never heard it before, so I want you all to dance around and sing along

Soundtrack To My Week - Count Down To V Festival Special
This time next week I shall be on my way to V Festival and I can't wait. We bough the tickets last year on Early Bird special after my wonderful dad said he would have BG for the weekend.
The thing I like most about festivals is the wide range of bands and artists who can see, I'm looking forward to seeing loads of bands but my most favourite must be the newly reformed Skunk Anansie, I was a huge fan as a teenager and it the was first band I went to see on my own with friends without my parents.
We saw them at a little venue in Westcliff on Sea, there was about 5 of us and I lost my friend Claire in the crowd and we didn't find her until the gig had finished but it was an amazing night and Skins voice is amazing. I was lucky to see her a few years back at V Festival when she went solo and stood right in front on the stage and she came into the crowd and sung to us.
I've found quite grainy footage of her live, the sound is crystal clear so I give you.....

Soundtrack To My Week
I've been so busy today on my other blog that I almost didn't write this post but as I was working today something quite nice happened.
I was listening to 6 Music which is my new favourite radio station, Nemone was on and talking about Reading Festival she asked people to tweet their most memorable Reading Festival so I did.
I've been going to Reading Festival on a Sunday night (heavy rock night) for a few years and I love it, I've seen some awesome headliners including Pearl Jam and Iron Madien.
So my most memorable one? Well this is the tweet I sent to Nemone as was read out live on radio!!!
@nemone6music I have to say my most memorable reading festival was in 2008 I was 7 months pregnant & rocking out to metallica
I give you Enter Sandman by Metalica live at the Reading Festival 2008

I've been gallivanting again this week yesterday I was at the John Lewis Christmas show and I will tell you all about it soon on New Mummy's Tips.
But to honour all the Christmas shows going on this week I give you.......

The Soundtrack To My Week
This week has been completely emotional for so many reasons and I'm feeling a little drained.
I'm not going to ramble on today and I'm just going to share this song with you.
Its by one of my favourite female artists and is about her battle with cancer, and its just so right for this week and the Race For Life I did this week, so here it is.....
Melissa Etheridge, I Run for Life...

Soundtrack To My Week - Birthday Special
Normally on a Friday I do the Soundtrack To My Week where I choose a song that best represents my week. As its my 30th Birthday tomorrow I thought I would share the song that was number 1 when I was born.
Unfortunately that song was Crying by Don McLean which just a little bit depressing, so I've chosen a tack from 1980 the year I was born.
It was tough to choose as they were some great tracks released that year including, Brass in my pocket by the Pretenders, Going Underground by The Jam and The Winner takes it all by Abba.
The song I have chosen is.......
Call Me by Blondie

Soundtrack To My Week
This week has been really liberating for me, after my post yesterday and the fantastic comments from everyone. I'm now in the process of setting up a Music review blog and I'm really excited about it!!
I have 8 days until I'm 30, so today I had an early birthday treat from OH and went and had my hair cut and coloured. I've gone shorter and blonder.

This is me just after it was done.
and me after I played with it a bit.
Pictures never do it justice
I've chosen this track this week not because its by my favourite band but because the chorus is really apt for this week...
It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just wanna live while I'm alive
Have you guessed what it is yet?............

The Soundtrack To My Week
This week I've been brave, I'm really proud of what I've achieved in my life but it hasn't always been easy.
This week I'm been in print twice!! Once in Practical Parenting at the beginning of the week and yesterday in my local paper. Both post about my blogging, and in my local paper an added extra of begging for votes in the MAD awards.
I also wrote a guest post for Breaking The Silence about my struggle with depression, its the first time I have ever written about it and I feel proud and brave about speaking up about it, please pop over if you get a chance and read my post 'What A Difference A Year Makes'
The song I've chosen this week represents the hope that everything will work out just right!
This is my favourite version of this song...........................
Somewhere over the Rainbow by Eva Cassidy

The Soundtrack To My Week
BG is feeling much better this week so we've managed to get out and about which has been lovely.
The weather has been glorious, so today we will be mainly playing the garden.
The song I have chosen this week may be weird one for you but it always reminds me of OH.
OH wooed me with his love of music, something we have in common. The big album at the time was by this band and he lent it to me to listen to and I've loved it ever since.
This song was my ring tone for him for ages and this was the first band we went to see together.
The reason I thought of it this week, is that I was remembering all the stupid things he does sometimes, I know I go on about how great he is but he's not perfect.
On Tuesday I had an horrendous headache and about 8pm I asked him to get me some paracetamol. I was still awake at 2am, yes he had given me ones with caffeine in so I was awake all night!!
This song always brings a smile to may face and makes me want to jump around and dance, so here it is........

Haircuts, Bumps & Bruises and The Soundtrack To My Week
This last week has been jammed packed, so I'd thought I'd give you the highlights.
Last Friday I had my hair cut, short, very short!
This is me before....
Ignore the double chin!!
At the weekend I had a house full, for the first in a long time I got to cook for my family. My sister, her OH and my 13 year old cousin who was over from Ireland came to stay.
We stuffed ourselves silly on Easter Sunday so on the Monday we took a walk to the park where BG managed to trip and bang her head and nose. She had two bumps on her head and a graze on her nose, she now looks like I've been beating her!
My sister and her OH went back Monday and left my 13 year old cousin here with us. She didn't quite realise how *fun* it is to have a toddler running around, she made the fatal mistake of trying to play on her laptop while BG was awake, BG wanted to help her by closing the top down and pressing the buttons, what a helpful child *snigger*
Tuesday was a lovely day so we went to the seaside and went to the sea life centre, which was loved by all. BG likes the really ugly and dangerous fishes, she saw the Piranha's and went "ahh", any thing with teeth she liked!
We took a walk along the beach and BG collected a stone to take home, do you want to see it?......
A good day was had by all, especially as we hot, freshly made doughnuts on the way home.
Me and BG had the house back to ourselves yesterday, so we had the afternoon in the garden, where she tripped hit her head and nose again!! and gave her self a nose bleed. Hugs and chocolate made it better.
It was a lovely Easter for us, BG only got one small egg from me and OH and the rest of the family bought presents or gave us money for her next term of Musical Mini's (yes I am a mean mummy)
So this brings me to the soundtrack of the week, I had a good think about it and choose this..........
We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Enjoy!!

Soundtrack Of The Week
This week BG has mainly be spinning around and around in circles making her self dizzy, which is really cute and funny until she hurts herself! But she gets herself up and does it again.
So the soundrack for this week is.....................
Dizzy by Vic Reeves and The Wonderstuff!
There were better sounding clips but I think to trueky appreciate the song you have to see them performimg it.

Soundtrack Of My Week
Music is a huge part of my life as some of you will know. I’ve always used it as a soundtrack of how I’m feeling and what’s going on with my life, I have a break up song, a sad song, a happy song and freak-out song!
Every Friday me and BG have a Friday freak-out I put on some music and we dance around like crazy people, last week we listen to Girls Aloud, AC/DC and Disney Songs. I also try and find a song that reflects my week, a soundtrack to my week shall we say s.
Let me explain this week’s soundtrack before I share it with you, this week has been a *bad* week and culminated yesterday in the day from hell!
BG is teething (as per usual), she has two molars coming through and is in a lot of pain, which in turn makes her super grumpy. Yesterday she woke up at 5.50 in a foul mood, screaming, and shouting, clinging to me, it could even walk across the room without her have a tantrum; it had been a long week already.
I gave her, her porridge which she wanted to feed to herself, so I let her that ended up all over her and on the floor.
It then took me 30 minutes to clean and dress her as she didn’t want to get dressed. I then made the biggest mistake of the day, I left a tub of sudacream in the living room, I went into the kitchen area to put some bread on, I turn back and there was sudacream everywhere!! All over BG, all over the floor (actually its still on the floor as I can’t get it out) and all over curtains, this was 15 minutes before we were supposed to leave for Musical Mini’s.
I manage to get her clean and re-dressed and out the door and we go off to mini’s, she was in quite a god mood there, except when she tried to get the bubble machine and I wouldn’t let her. Thankfully she fell asleep on the way home.
I then get home to find out that when OH set up this new plug thingy at the weekend that turns plugs off when you switch the TV off it attached to the socket that the bread machine in plugged into and the bread is not baked.
I dropped down 44 places in the Tots 100, that really made me sulk, if the day hadn’t been going so bad it wouldn’t have really bothered me.
BG woke from her nap in a even worse mood and wouldn’t leave my side most of the afternoon, and when she did she pushed the highchair over and I had to move into the other room.
OH was late home from work and BG wouldn’t eat her dinner!
Phew That was my bad day yesterday, which links seamlessly to my soundtrack of the week..................................................................
Daniel Powter Bad Day
I have chosen the live version and I love live music, enjoy
