The beginning of the week started out slow for us, Baby Girl has got a cold and is teething so it’s all snot and dribble at our house! Thankfully her two top teeth have cut through so she might start to cheer up soon (Mummy can dream)
On Wednesday BG has her 8-12 month development check up, now I’m really happy with what she can do at 10 months but it didn’t stop me worrying . I think that’s natural as a Mother, I try not to compare her to other children her age but I can’t help it.
Well there was no need for me to worry, the health visitor was really happy with what she could, she even said she was a little advanced (sorry bragging!!) we only had one tantrum when I had to undress and the dress her again .
The highlight of the visit was when she gave BG her Bookstart book, she took it from her sat on the floor and started flicking through the pages, the HV said it was a testament to me that she knew how to do that already. She said that quite a few children go to school not knowing how to open a book!! How sad is that?
The low point was when the HV noticed that the creases on the back of BG’s legs didn’t match up so we have to go to the GP to check her hips. I'm trying not to worrying, she's strong on her legs and crawls well, so fingers crossed its just because she has chubby legs!
BG now weighs 23lbs 5 ozs and is 76 cms long!! That 2ft 5.9 in's already, I'm only 5ft 3in she is going to tower over me!!
I'm not scared.......honest!

Decisions Have Been Made!!!
This morning I received a letter from work saying that my official leaving date is next Friday! That means I have 8 days then I'm officially unemployed! This will be the first time in 13 years that I will not have a job and to be honest its scares the shit out of me!!
However I have decided to stop worrying myself as I'm making myself ill! I'm not sleeping and I'm getting stress headaches!
I won't be unemployed I will be a Stay at home mummy! I will keep looking for part time work (though to be honest its slim pickings at the mo), I have applied for some jobs just waiting to hear back.
Ideally I would like to be a WAHM and I'm working on some projects including making things from home and plan to have some stock for Christmas to sell (I'm hoping I'm being realistic). Once I have some things made I will show you all and probably send a few things out to be tested!
OH has said that he will help more with BG especially when he is off so I can work on things
I have also decided that I will only do reviews once a month I don't want to take away from what this blog is really about, mine and BG's journey!
Money will be tight but that's fine I have been skint before I know how to budget, Aldi and Lidl are my new best friends!!! Lol
On a happier note BG has started to call me mum!!! She's not just saying its randomly!!! So her first official word is mum!!! Good girl BG
Also her toothy pegs have finally come through!!! Well at the bottom just got the rest of the to go!
Ok off to plan, look for a job and have loads of snuggles with my baby!!

My Poorly Baby
This week we have mainly been dealing with runny nappies and grumpy babies. Oh what fun we have had!! If you have a sensitive stomach you may not want to read on!
First of all I have an update on my cousin, she is fully awake now, talking, eating and has managed to walk. They found lots of bleeds on the brain so they are not sure what kind of damage she will have but the future looks bright and she's on her way to recovery!!
So back to my poorly sick baby. It all started last Tuesday, her first nappy of the was very runny but as we have just started weaning I thought it might be because she had parsnip the night before, she was in a good mood. So we got dressed and went to meet my Friend who I met in the maternity ward our girls were born within hrs of each other. Bad bad move!! from then on BG got grumpy and she filled more and more nappies so we went home and I gave her a bottle which she wasn't interested in, by now she had a temperature So I rang and got an appointment with the emergency doctor.
Now why do doctors make you feel like you're a neurotic mother when you take your children in. He did a few checks, looked in her ears and said she's got a virus I wouldn't worry she happy just give her half strength formula for a few days. Simple!! well not really I know I'm a first time mum but It's the first time I've taken her to the doctors (except for jabs etc) she had a temp I have a right to worry!!
As well as her virus BG is still teething so that really helped!! My happy, sleep through the night baby girl turned into a grumpy, I'm going to wake up every hr baby, Joy of Joys !!
BG was still sick over the bank holiday weekend, which made the second bank holiday we couldn't do anything due to illness! On the Sunday we popped over to the garden centre to get a few things, big big mistake. BG filled her nappy and leaked through all her clothes, I'd forgot to pack any clothes! Thankfully there was a sainbury's near by so we nipped bought some new clothes and cleaned her up!!
By the Monday BG was happier and her appetite was back but her nappies where still really runny, so we went to the walk in centre to see the doc.
Now this doctor told me that the virus had probably passed now but it leaves babies lactose intolerant for a while, something to do with the bowel not being able to break down the sugars and he said just to fed her as normal that 8 full nappies was nothing to worry about!!
Next I got the virus!! but thankfully Its passed quickly for me.
Last night BG slept through the night!!!! and today we have had solid nappies!! Yippee my baby is better!! Just need those bloody teeth to come through now! I have started using teething powders and they seem to be working, fingers crossed them toothies come through soon!

Tummy Bugs And Teething Do Not Mix
Hello sorry for the lack of blogging but if you follow me on twitter you would have known I’ve been poorly, actually we have been the poorly house for the last week!
It started in the early morning of last Sunday I woke up feeling really sick, my head hurt and I thought I was going to vomit. I managed to fall asleep again and was woken at 7 by Baby Girl, well I felt awful I rolled over to OH to get him to get BG up so I could have a little lay in to find he felt poorly as well !! Thankfully OH is fantastic and got up anyway and left me to have another hour.
When I got up I was still feeling really ill, it reminded me of the nausea I had when I was pregnant it just would not go away. We were supposed to be going to the seaside as the weather was glorious but we felt that bad we spent the day on the sofa
Actually we spent the next three days on the sofa!!! OH took two days off work, that’s unheard of in our house, that’s when you know he’s really ill.
For the first two days BG was good she was happy to lay on the floor and play, me and OH laid on sofa’s at opposite sides of the room with BG in the middle taking turns to get up with her. Well by day three day she started to grizzly, to start with we thought she had got our tummy bug but then we realised it was her teeth playing her up.
BG has been teething for the last 5 weeks!!! We are yet to see a tooth and its now interrupting her sleep !!
Gone is the baby that would be in bed for 7 now its 8, 8.30 one night she was still up at 10!
She falls asleep but as soon as we put her down she starts screaming its not fun especially when you’re feeling like death warmed up! Once she has settled in bed she stays asleep until morning but its getting her settled that’s the problem. Its making the days very long!
I think it’s a mixture of the clocks changing and her teething that is turning her into a grump, I also think she may be getting ready for weaning but I’m not sure , I hate not knowing what to do!! I’m going to see the health visitor this week when I get her weighed and will ask her but if anyone has any advice I would be grateful.
Today is the first day I feel OK so hopefully the tummy bug as gone, I hope so!!
Enjoy the rest of your Easter
