You are correct the price of the vaccines are miminal I believe the Unicef guy said there were 6 cents each. The thing will this campaign it that people are not being asked to donate £6 and only 5p goes to charity, what they are saying to those that do buy disposbale nappies and baby wipes is swap the brand you buy just once and that will make s differnce, not buy any extra or spend lots and lots of money. For those you don't buy nappies etc they can either download the song which costs them nothing but pampers will still donate or as you have said donate some money. I personally think that for me swapping to pampers once is a really simple way to help. Yes pampers do benefit from the sales but I imagine (and don't know for sure)that these campaign costs more then just paying for the vaccines, which if my maths is correct they are aimimg for 100 mill vaccines so that £5mil. Plus the cost of promoting the campaign adverts etc and the cost of packaging changes.

I'm afraid that rarely do companies support a charity without some benefit for example Boots sell the bear ears every year for Children in Need you can only buy them from there so you are forced to shop there, or the Red Noses for comic relief that are sold only in Sainsbury's and handfull of othet places they help suport these charities but get a bonus of people shopping in their shops and probably picking up more then a nose etc.

Just realised that I've practically written a post!

Lorraine - Thanks hun, the pics of me are horrendous but the rest look fab xCaroljshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16622996745058583470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1836424089643954116.post-88122126452188564732009-10-01T21:15:37.589+01:002009-10-01T21:15:37.589+01:00Thanks for the Tag Carole , I think its a great id...Thanks for the Tag Carole , I think its a great idea to do the MeMe and I will get right on it..Great Pics by the way!Lorrainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12458056492748230890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1836424089643954116.post-64320139435123227742009-10-01T17:54:13.754+01:002009-10-01T17:54:13.754+01:00Can I start by saying I fully support the aims of ...Can I start by saying I fully support the aims of this campaign in both raising both awareness and money for vaccines. However...

Shoot me down in flames but the small print at the bottom of the vitual gift for life states that £0.049 ie 5 pence will be donated for each download. So from that I would conclude that a vaccine costs 5p. Therefore wouldn't it be better if we all donated £1 (enough for 20 vaccines @5p each ) rather than buy a pack of pampers for approx £6 and from that only 5p be donated, with the rest going to Procter & Gamble? £6 would provide 120 vaccinations...Juicytotshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05016646925522387582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1836424089643954116.post-3730014431901935122009-10-01T13:54:14.825+01:002009-10-01T13:54:14.825+01:00Such a great campaign.
